I am looking for an enthusiastic Student or Postdoc who would like to enhance his/her knowledge in the field of Computational Mechanics. The focus in this three-year research project is about Modular peristaltic surface conveyor with AI based digital twin for polybags and includes the simulation of elastomer membranes by using Isogeometric Analysis and AI generated material models. The deadline for application is the 6th of February. 

We welcome applications for several PhD positions in reactive fluid mechanics for aerospace application. More specifically on the fire resistance of Li-Ion batteries and composites as well as on hydrogen combustion. The PhD position available involve experimental work but can also include a numerical simulation component. The student is therefore expected to carry out laboratory work, data analysis and numerical simulation tasks, with a focus to be identified according to individual interests and qualifications.

A new funded PhD opportunity is available at the University of Bath. The project is on elastic tailoring of composite winglets on aircraft.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate for a PhD position between École des Ponts ParisTech and University of Pavia, starting October 2024. The position is part of the EU-funded project MISCEA, an ambitious multidisciplinary Doctoral Training Network under the Horizon-Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions COFUND.

The Computational Multi-Physics Coupled Analysis Laboratory at Kyushu Institute of Technology, which is located in Fukuoka Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan, is currently offering the funded Ph.D. position, with start date of Spring/Fall 2024. The successful candidate will carry out researches in the areas of computational mechanics for biomimetics, and coupled multi-physics problems such as flying insects and energy harvesting. The microMechanics of Deformation Research Group (mMOD) in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Rutgers University is seeking a Post-Doctoral Associate to perform research as part of an NSF CAREER award project aimed at understanding the fundamentals of fracture in metals.
