The TauMechLab (Biological Tissue Mechanics Lab) at the University of Calgary, co-led by Dr. Tais Sigaeva, Assistant Professor, is currently recruiting Graduate Research Assistants for M.Sc. or Ph.D. positions in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (MME) or Biomedical Engineering (BME). The Lab’s research focuses on the Characterization and Modeling of Soft Biological Tissues, including skin and aortic tissues, at the intersection of engineering, biology, and medicine.

Anticipated Starting Date: 2027.

The Paul M. Rady Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the interdisciplinary area of Computational Engineering with an anticipated start in Fall 2025. Candidates with demonstrated research experience in the broad area of Computational Engineering are encouraged to apply. The Traverso Laboratory is seeking a PhD-level mechanical/biomedical engineer to join the team focused on the development of novel gastrointestinal devices for treatment of major diseases. This includes technologies such as drug delivery systems, smart pills and stents, soft actuators, and ingestible electronics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and analyzing mechanical systems and materials for biological application. The major responsibilities will include the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication.
