I am simulating dynamic impact using B31 element type and general contact in ABAQUS Explicit and the job is aborted showing the error of "Excessive rotation of nodes". I, also, used mass scaling to control the run time.
Does anyone know how to control this problem?

I use ANSYS APDL with code for my shaft with two coating layers(interlayer and coating layer). I already analysis stress of shaft with Ansys. the result is ok and i exported to .RST file. But , when i input my shaft to Ncode, I can't find the interlayer and coating layers.I think this shaft have 3 part(subtrate, interlayer, coating layer)

I am modeling contact problem with CEL method, which involves 2 kinds of materials (euler-to-euler contact) in euler domain and 3rd material in lagrangian (euler-to-lagrangian contact) domain. The modeling of contact between the euler and lagrangian is okay.
But the modeling of interaction of euler-to-euler contact seems to be lack of information in ABAQUS Documentation.
Does anyone know, how to set up the interaction property of euler-to-euler contact?

I amtrying to model a simple compression test om a foam cube with LS DYNA. I have tried a lot of different approaches but there is always something wrong in the model :(. I have managed to get on model up and running, but i am having problems with excessive penetrations! Do anyone have any idea how to fix this?

My goal is to model large plastic deformations of polycrystalline metals using crystal plasticity and ALE adaptive meshing. In order to do that I want to use VUMAT subroutine in Abaqus/Explicit, since as far as I understand Abaqus/Standard is not good for large deformations and it doesn't support ALE adaptive meshing for that purpose.
