The 4th edition of the International Conference on Nonlinear Solid Mechanics ICoNSOM 2026 will be held in Alghero (Italy) from 11 to 18 June, 2026, in the beautiful and famous island of Sardinia.
Within this conference, Francesco D'Annibale (University of L'Aquila - Italy), Yury Vetyukov (TU Wien, Austria) and myself (Francesco Dal Corso, University of Trento - Italy) are organising the Mini-Symposium "MS-10 Stability and Dynamics of Structures" (description reported below).

The deadline for abstract submission is April 6th, 2026. As the abstract is submitted (following the template available here), the acceptance notification will be received within two weeks.
We are looking forward to meet you in Alghero in June.
'MS10 Stability and dynamics of structures' description
Over the past decade, structural mechanics has experienced a renaissance driven by the growing interest in exploiting the nonlinear response of structures for innovative applications in reconfigurable systems, energy harvesting, and actuation mechanisms.
This minisymposium aims to bring together leading experts and researchers from across the broad field of structural dynamics and stability to exchange ideas, present cutting-edge research, and foster collaborations.
Contributions spanning modeling, theoretical analysis, computational methods, and experimental investigations are welcome.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Contributions spanning modeling, theoretical analysis, computational methods, and experimental investigations are welcome.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Highly deformable and deployable structures
- Buckling, post-buckling behavior, and bifurcation phenomena
- Dynamic instabilities and vibration control
- Aeroelasticity and fluid-structure interactions
- Nonlinear and non-smooth dynamics (e.g., impact, friction)
- Chaos and complex dynamical systems
- Stochastic dynamics and uncertainty quantification
- Coupled fluid–soil–structure interactions
