LS Dyna Pre-post
Hi,
Please can anyone tell me how is the LS Dyna pre-post version different from the regular version.What are the features one can explore through LS Dyna pre-post?

Dear everyone:
I am trying to use a nonlocal damage criteria to simulate the crack growth, which can reduce the mesh dependency.
In abaqus, VUMAT/UMAT is doing computation at integration point for each increment, but I want to do the post-processing after each increment to get the non-local state variable and return this value back to calculation.
Hi Abaqus experts
I am hoping that you can help me getting a element user subroutine writen in fortran f90 to work in Abaqus. I have made the simplest 8 noded brick element element that i can think of. I has a zero thickness and only has some simple definitions of the parameters ESTIFF,RHS,SVARS and PNEWDT. I have made a model with one single element of this user element where the upper part is displaced from the lower part which are fixed.
When I try to run the model I get the following message in the log file:
Dear friends,
I'm an MSc. student at Bogazici University, Turkiye and I'm working on a thesis project about the failure behaviour of fiber reinforced laminated composite plates under different loading types. The material which we use are AS4 fiber reinforced prepregs and their mechanical properties are the following:
E11 =134,000 MPa
E22 = E33= 9480 MPa
G12 = G13= 5490 MPa
G23 MPa =3272
nu12 = nu13 =0.271
nu23 =0.448
Hi, my thesis is about implementation of bulk metallic glass constitutive equations into ABAQUS VUMAT, but there is a Laplacian operator in some of my constitutive equations, is anybody know how to implement Laplacian operation into a VUMAT?
Hi,
Let us say I have a 2D domain which is to be meshed with quadrilateral and triangular elements.
I would say; we mesh the whole domain with ONLY quadrilateral elements but wherever we find any of the interior angles of the quadrilateral grreater than 120 degrees I inser a diagonal to get a consequent triangle thus eliminating the angle greater than 120 degrees .
Please can I have some opinions in this regard?

Dear All,
I have implemented linear elastic analysis of frames (i.e. superposition of beam and truss element) and plates (Kirchoff's plates) and now need to connect beams and plates.I have been looking for references in this regard.
We have something discussed in the book by Cook in this regard. See attached.
Can anyone thros some light on this approach of riid links?
Can anyone site some more references? I need to start coding this- so any help will be really appreciated.

Hi, I am wondering if anyone could explain to me what does the term "warping degree of freedom" means? I came across this term when I try to simulate a straight pipe buckling under symmetrical bending moment which is being applied at both ends of the pipe. Besides that, I am wondering if anyone have any idea or experience in simulating pipe buckling under symmetrical bending moment. How should it be constrained? Thanks.
