easy VUMAT in Abaqus for kevlar material for final project at college

Hello



I am quiet new with ABAQUS. I am doing a final project for on of my
classes. I wanted to make a bullet impact to kevlar. I've already done
the model which works on different type of material with a imposed JC
damage model. All the elements are solid type

Right know I want to impose Kevlar material to this model, and after
many tries and searching the web I know that I need to write the VUMAT
subroutine. based on data I have two option, use Hashin model subroutine
or base subroutine on maximum allowable shear and tensile strain. And

Dear friend can u help me?? I have a project  but I meet a big problem!!! I want to use a subroutine for extracting a nodal variable Such as 'U'(Displacement)  at a standard model,and do some mathematical operations (Such as integration and...) on it and create a new Variable...

Do you Know Can I do this??

Abaqus - tank modelling

Good morning,

I'm dealing with the model of a tank and I'm using the finite element software Abaqus. Unfortunately, I'm totally new to this program and so I have the following very trivial problem: I've to model a tank with two different thicknesses, 30mm in the bottom part and 15 mm in the top part. How can I do that?

I've to create the 2 different parts separately and then put them together in the assembly? In this case, how can I manage the interaction between the two parts?

Or there is another method (for example using the discrete field tool)? Which is the most efficient method?

Good morning,

I'm dealing with an structrual static analysis of a shaft in Ansys WB. The shaft is supported by bearings and loaded by a torque. I tried to replace bearings with "Cylindrical support". (Radial - fixed, Axial - fixed and Tangential - Free) but I am not realy sure that this support work. Is it good manner how to replace this kind of support in 3D analysis because the Ansys shows the warning that about rigid body motion etc..

Dear All Abaqus Experts:

I am new Subroutine user and I have Force2.0 installed on my computer with Abaqus 6.10. When I type 'abaqus job=analysis user=analysis', it returns that 'analysis.f or analysis.obj can not be located', I changed the extension of the .f file to .for, which seems pass through but still with error that 'ifort.exe can not be found'. I looked everywhere and got no clue, pls pls help on this and your kind help is mostly appreciated.

Solver settings in Abaqus/S for delamination analysis with cohesive elements

Hi 

 

I have different 3D models of laminates where I analyse the delamination propagation using zero thickness cohesive elements in Abaqus/Standard. My experience with the RIKS solver and Newton solvers are that they are extremely sensitive to even small changes in the step size settings as well as other solver settings.
