I am getting started with ABAQUS, and so far, I have had to assign a section property to every part of the assembly, which takes a long time for large assemblies. Often the entire assembly has the same section assignment. Is there a way to assign the same section to various instances?

For an isoparametric formulation, considering a six noded triangle- what is the determinant of the jacobian? Is it equal to the area of the triangle?

A genral eigen package must actuualy (according the book of Numerical recipees) must have choices of algorithms for the following cases of matrices;
1) Real,symmetric,triagonal
2) Real,symmetric,banded
3) Real,symmetric
4) Real,non-symmetric
5)Complex,hermitian
6)Complex, non hermitian
IS there any eigen package that considers the above choices?

When I run my MATLAB code to solve a nonlinear aeroelastic problem, solution diverges because of a "jump". I do expect a jump at this point, but I can not go through it and time marching solution stops. I appreciate any suggestion and help.

I want to take the deformation gradient tensor from one analysis and use it another analysis running parallel to it. I have really no clue how to do it. Although there are methods by which you can use the RESULTS of one analysis in another analysis but I just want to use just one/two particular variables like the one I mentioned.

I'm working on an ABAQUS extension/plug-in of a sort and I'd like to replicate results for a single 4-node plane stress element produced by the ABAQUS incremental/nonlinear static solver.
I assumed the relationship is:
t[K] {Δx} = t+Δt {P} - t{F}
This is how I went to obtain these values:
t [K] - element stiffness - by using *ELEMENT MATRIX OUTPUT
