Hi All dear friends...
Dear friend can u help me?? I have a project but I meet a big problem!!! I want to use a subroutine for extracting a nodal variable Such as 'U'(Displacement) at a standard model,and do some mathematical operations (Such as integration and...) on it and create a new Variable...
Do you Know Can I do this??
Please Help me

You may not have to resort
You may not have to resort to an Abaqus Subroutine to do this. In ABAQUS/Viewer there is the possibility to create XY data and operate on them after transferring them to MS Excel. Look at the following:
Tools->XY data->Create->Operate on XY data->continue
and you can extract whichever function of the results data you want. I hope I helped...

Dear Papazafeiropoulos
Thank you very much Dear Papazafeiropoulos
I understand what is your idea but I want to obtain contours for my new variable , that it needs to use subroutine
What do you do with the variable you create?
Is this purely a postprocessing problem, or does your computation affect the simulation? If so, how?

Dear Mike
Thank you dear Mike...
I want to simulate a process completely and I want to introduce a new variable and finally obtain contoures of this variable.
my computation dont affect the simulation it only uses the Displacement quantaties and represent a new variable.
