Postprocessing the Cohesion in the field
Hi Everybody,
I'm using Mohr-Coulomb with Cohesion Hardening in Abaqus and I'm wondering how can I postprocess the state of Cohesion in the field?

Dear all,
Could anyone help to give me some advice on how to implement a kind of nonlinear interaction relevant to relative velocity in ABAQUS? The interaction force has a quadratic function with the relative velocity between two nodes. Thanks.
Hello everyone,
I am running a UMAT on ABAQUS. However, I need to call another subroutine : URDFIL. I have included the URDFIL subroutine in the same file as the UMAT subroutine.
The problem is that when I run the program, ONLY the UMAT subroutine runs. It looks as if ABAQUS ignores completely the URDFIL subroutine (It doesn't run it at all). Do we have to include anything
specific in the INPUT file in order for ABAQUS to take the URDFIL into account?
Thanks for the help!

hi all,
i am very new to abaqus and i want to simualte sliding wear between a pin and a disc. i found from the literature that by using user subroutines we can calculate the wear. i am not getting how to use a user subroutine , can any one expain how to use user subroutines in the CAE. is there any simple example problems in understanding this user subroutine functions. thanks in advance.
Hello,
I need to write a python script that changes the inputs in my MDB file and then runs the abaqus code and gets the output and then goes on with another sets of inputs.
Since I am quite a beginner in abaqus-python scripting, does anyone has any clue how to do this automatically, I mean not changing the inputs in every run manually.
Thanks,
Omid

I am part of a group that is attempting to model the energy dissipation from a crack. In order to do that, we need to track the energy throughout failure. It is our understanding that the way to do this is to model the failure without element deletion, but we having little experience with ABAQUS, we cannot figure out how to turn element deletion off. Help?

Greetings,
I'm working on thermal analysis of concrete filled steel tube columns.
I used all the guidance I could get from the research papers, but I still didn't get the results I want.
In fact, all the job analysis I run ended up abrupted.
I attached my abaqus work for your kind attention and perusal.
Any suggestions and tips that might help me overcome my problem is more than welcome. Perhaps I could get some pointers whict part in my analysis is missing.
Thank you.
