how to open 2 .db files in a window in ANSYS
hello,
can 2 .db files ,that are already meshed, be opened in a ANSYS window if i do not have input codes?
thank you very much
best regards

hi sirs,
I am looking for some old papers, I need to study these but I couldnt access to them.
any one here can help me, about sending electronic or hard-copy of these(or any of them) papers to me?

Hi
If some one can post simple crack propagation examples using ANSYS cohesive zone approach. It will help many readers to formulate their research work further.
Thanks and best regards.
Hello,
I have read some literature on cohesive zone modeling for fracture behaviour in composites. I have some doubts. How many cohesive laws are there and how they are categorized? Whether cohesive elements (in FEM) are modeled as continuum or discrete?
Please suggest some good literature on this. Thanks & Regards,
Praveen.
A postdoctoral fellowship is available in the Duke Computational Mechanics Laboratory, beginning in September of 2009 (with flexibility on timing). Funding for the fellowship concerns research in the simulation of large-scale fragmentation phenomena. The ideal candidate will have experience in some combination of the following areas:
how to refine those hot spots (heigh stress zones) in a meshed
structure using ansys. in fact i have a large body. most of body
subject to very low (negligible or zeor stresses) except few zones with
very much high stress. first i meshed my body with coarse mesh and i
noticed those area which i expect them from experimental results now
how can i refine meshes on basis of von mises stress range.
can one do it with 'select entities'and how?

We are looking for a post-doctoral candiate in the area of computational (bio)mechanics. The project involves solving inverse problems in finite deformation elasticity with applications to the detection and diagnosis of cancerous tumors. Interested applicants should contact Prof. Oberai (http://www.rpi.edu/~oberaa/).
