Moving load on roller coaster track
Hi friends
I have model roller coaster track in Adams software and i have obtained force-time history but i do not now how to apply this history in abaqus.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I wanted to ask a question regarding the crack path of an arc crack at the interface. While Toya's solution provides the condition of crack propagation along the interface, I am interested to find what happens when the arc crack kinks out of the interface. If we think of an arc crack which has kinked out of the interface (between a circular inclusion and the matrix), the geometry resembles to a wing crack. The wing crack model has been extensively used for compressive loading and has been developed for the same.
Dear researchers,
I am Using ABAQUS software for the goal to get a successful model in the non-linear analysis of the prestress magnitude effect on the longittudinal vibration frequency of tendons. I a am applying different axial forces on the cable on his both ends in order to observe the changes in frequency to compare with experimental tests found in the literature, but the results are not in agreement yet. Any idea how to get a succeful modeling is akwoledged.
Thank you in advance
Hi,
Is it possible to use micromechanical homogenization to simulate damage localization? The analytical procedures that I have come across, mostly gives a homogenized behavior of the composite and is suitable as long as the damage is diffused. Is there a way to obtain the behavior when the defects (for example microcracks) localize into a damage zone? Some lead or suggestions of reference materials would be of great help.
Thanks.
Dear All,
What is the proper element to model Hyperelastic thin film with ABAQUS?
The film will undergo 3D deformations and I know that with 3D shell element I cannot use hyperelastic material.
I am working on a SPD (Sever Plastic Deformation) process using a dynamic Explicit simulation in ABAQUS software.
I have a question which every respected answer will be appreciated:
How can I get the deformation gradient tensor provided byABAQUS?
Thanks in advance.
Hello people,
Does someone know if the quadratic stress criterion (QSC, Brewer and Lagace) for delamination onset is possible to be implemented in Ansys APDL for mixed mode cohesive zone modeling?
Cheers,
/R.
I am using an open source FEM platform, which requires you to convert your equation system to non-dimensional form. So, there are no units specified for the parameters in the problem. If you use compatible input units, you should expect the output in matching unit - just like one would do in a normal python or C++ code for solving physical problems. I have an elasto-plastic dynamic problem to solve, and these are the parameters for the Drucker-Prager Soil Model for soft clay.

Hello every one,
I am modeling a core (C shape) subjected to lateral load. I used embeded region constraint to contact steel bars and stirrups to the solid core. Then i want to apply the load at one end of core, but i need to contact all points in this end with a diaphragm to take the effect of the slab which aren't modeled. But i thing that ABAQUS doesn't permit to use two constraints at the same point. So what can i do to constrain the steel bars to core and also to constrain all points at one end with a diaphragm.
Thanks in advance
Hi, I'm trying to perform a supposedly-simple experiment on fatigue crack propagation of UHMWPE. I use a compact-tension specimen on a servopulser hidraulic testing machine. I will try to do the experiment on a fix Pmax with a varied force ratio (R) from 0.1 to 0.5. I'm having trouble in deciding the maximum force Pmax. How does one decide the amount of force applied for FCP testing? Calculation steps and so on.
