Looking for Postdoc Position

Submitted by Mehdi Naderi on

I am
looking for postdoctoral position in the field of mechanical and material
engineering. I have my PhD from Louisiana State University, and currently
working with Dr. Khonsari at  Louisiana State University.

During
my Phd I was working on the material characterization and fatigue of metals and
composite materials using thermodynamic approach.

I have
the skills of modeling metals and composite materials failure using user
subroutines programing  in ABAQUS.

What's that Car Noise? New SIMULIA Tech Brief Available: NVH Analysis with Rolling Tires

Submitted by matt.ladzinski on

The sources of noise in a vehicle are many, including the engine, driveline, tire contact patch and road surface, brakes, and wind to name a few.  A Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) engineer is tasked with predicting these noises early in the design phase to make the necessary adjustments to ensure a harmonic ride, so to speak. The latest SIMULIA Tech Brief illustrates the effects that rolling tires have in contributing to NVH.

Stress/strain of a body performing a translation

Submitted by ljpoposki on

Hello all,

I am having task to determine the strength analysis (stress/strain) of a translating machine part (body). The part is driven by a set of gears, placed on the top of the body. The input is a constant acceleration value to the propultion engine. Firstly I should do a 2D analysis with a retangle representing the machine part.

I am new to this subject, so any idea, approach,  advice or helping material is welcomed.

Thank you in advance!
