i am facing problems in modelling CFRP plate in impact machanics.
1-what section type is to be given(homogenious,generelized strrain etc.).
2-what element type in meshing.
i am modelling CFRP sendwitched in between aluminium plates (CARAL).
Please help me if anybody know it.

This year the Applied Mechanics Division, through the generosity the Haythornthwaite Foundation, presented a new divisional award, the Haythornthwaite Research Initiation Grant. This new grant targets university faculty that are at the beginning of their academic careers engaged in research in theoretical and applied mechanics.
