Negative jacobian
Hi,
For a movement of a continuum, what does a negative jacobian (determinant of deformation gradient) mean?
Hi,
For a movement of a continuum, what does a negative jacobian (determinant of deformation gradient) mean?
i have specific heat and latent heat data of a material
how can i model material with enthalpy in ansys?
meanwhile i dont have the temperature which enthalpy is zero
Hellow
please help me to mesh the bead on the plate type of weld model.

Hello everyone,
Can someone please explain the difference of these two?

Traditional Puncture Tests are typically used to determine the penetration characteristics of a wide range of protective material such as films, foils or membrane. It is widely used in food and medical industries on applications ranging from food packaging to rubber gloves and needles. The test is preformed like that of a compressive test. A probe, with multiple tip selection, uses increasing load until material is penetrated and load is recorded at failure.
Dear Colleague:
An intensive 4-day short course on the fundamentals of continuum, atomistic and multiscale modeling of materials will be held at AICES in Aachen, Germany during August 14-17, 2012. The course will be taught by Profs. Ellad Tadmor and Ronald Miller. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Enrollment is limited so early registration is recommended. To register, visit http://www.modelingmaterials.org/short-courses
The University of Sheffield wishes to recruit a postdoctoral researcher to work on the EPSRC funded project: 'Ultimate and permissible limit
state behaviour of soil-filled masonry arch bridges' (24 month contract).
The successful candidate will develop novel detailed direct analysis models of the soil-structure interactions which take place in a
