Co-op for PhD student
Colleagues,
I'd like to check if there are any good resources or ways to find additional co-op for a PhD student which will supplement current research in material science and optimization problems related to plastic deformation of sheet metals? More info about my area of research can be found at http://www.alexschmidt.net/research/default.htm and my CV http://alexschmidt.net/research/aschmidt_cv.txt
Spectral Element Method Mesher
Hi,
Is there a free/open-source mesher for the Spectral Element Method?
I know some researchers use conventional mesher with order 3 elements and then include more nodes in the meshes (but without improve the geometric interpolation).
Thanks in advance,

How difference between Static analysis and Dynamic analysis in ABAQUS
Dear everyone,
Could anyone please explains to me how difference between Static (General) analysis and Dynamic (Explicit) analysis in ABAQUS?
In my case, I have already created subroutine VUMAT for Dynamic Explicit analysis. So, is it possible to use the same code (same algorithm) for creating UMAT in Static General analysis?
Thank you very much indeed

tank sloshng- harmonic excitation
I am working on a project relating to sloshing of rectangluar tank in 2d, given a harmonic base excitation. I am using CEL tecnique of abaqus.
Can u tell me how to apply the harmonic load to the tank base and any suggestions regarding the project?
