how to do modelling in abaqus for high strain rate. i am beginner. please help me regarding this. i have theoretical idea about johnson cook model.
i have umat file but i dont have any idea that where should i apply this filename.for file in abaqus..i have made my model and made UMAT subroutine ...can someone please help me with this

I am new to modelling and am trying to model a plate with a middle crack using Abaqus.
What is the difference between modelling a cohesive and LEFM crack growth (I know cohesive involves plasticity and the traction/displacement curve and LEFM is for brittle materials).
For cohesive, I used max principal stress for damage criteria and damage evolution based on energy criteria.
