Abstract:
We are pleased to announce the symposium "Design, Fabrication and Characterization of Architected Materials" at the upcoming 2015 Mach Conference (http://machconference.org). A full description of the symposium is provided below. Abstracts are due December 5, though please let us know if you are interested in participating but need additional time to prepare the abstract.
We are pleased to announce the Washington Research Foundation Innovation Fellows Program in Clean Energy (http://www.cei.washington.edu/innovation). With the generous support of the WRF, we have been able to establish a competitive program that will help us recruit some of the most talented clean energy researchers to the UW. Here are some of the program highlights:
Faculty Positions
Mechanical Engineering
The Physical Sciences and Engineering (PSE) Division at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) (http://pse.kaust.edu.sa) invites qualified applicants to apply for faculty positions at all ranks (Assistant, Associate and Full Professor) in the Mechanical Engineering program.
Journal of Power Sources, (2015), Volume 275, 1 February 2015, Pages 866–876
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the Computational Multi-Scale Materials Modeling Lab in the Lyles School of Civil Engineering at Purdue University to work with a multidisciplinary/multiuniversity team in the area of modeling of biomineralized and bio-inspired materials. The goal of the program is to uncover fundamental design rules and develop simple and basic scientific foundations for the predictable design of bio-inspired materials that are light-weight, tough and strong.
Beijing Computational Science Research Center (CSRC) a newly established interdisciplinary institute in China is recruiting multiple postdoctoral positions (http://www.csrc.ac.cn) to conduct top research in computational sciences in condensed matter physics, quantum optics, biological sciences, and material sciences and advance algorithm developments.
