PhD openings in ME or MSE at Missouri S&T
PhD openings are available in Dr. Caizhi Zhou's group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science and Engieering at Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly University of Missouri-Rolla). Research projects may involve crystal plasticity finite element modeling or atomistic simulations. The students will receive rigorous training and interact intensively with their academic advisor. The financial support will be in the form of GRA with a monthly stipend of approximately $2100 for 12 months each year (the tuition will be waived).
Web Workshop - Intro to Simpleware for Life Sciences, Jan 17 2018
Join us for this interactive web workshop where we will demonstrate the ease of obtaining high fidelity models from medical image data using Simpleware. We will walk you through the workflow of how to build simulation-ready models for advanced analysis of anatomies, implants, medical devices, and surgical techniques.
Crystal plasticity parameters for nickeel
Can someone help me with finding the crystal pasticity parameters for single crystal nickel.
I am using the model given in the attached paper.
I will be thank to you.
Call for Abstract Submission to the WCCM 2018: 412 Modeling and Design of Materials with Coupled Physics
Dear Colleagues:
13th World Congress in Computational Mechanics (WCCM XIII2018) and 2nd Pan American Congress on Computational Mechanics (PANACM II) will be held at Mariott Marquis in New York City, NY on July 22-27, 2018 (http://www.wccm2018.org).
As a part of this meeting, we are organizing a mini-symposium to address recent advances in Modeling and Design of Materials with Coupled Physics: 412 Modeling and Design of Materials with Coupled Physics (http://www.wccm2018.org/MS_412).
28th International Workshop on Computational Mechanics of Materials (IWCMM) in Glasgow, UK
Dear Colleagues,
We are organizing the 28th International Workshop on Computational Mechanics of Materials (IWCMM) in Glasgow, UK on 10-12 September 2018. This is an annual workshop which has been organized at different places and this year it was held in Leuven Belgium. IWCMM is aimed at creating an international forum for researchers and scientists in the field of Computational Mechanics of Materials. Eminent researchers are invited to the conference to present their research work on the topics of current interest.
