You are cordially invited to submit an abstract to the symposium on “Emerging Methods To Understand Mechanical Behavior” at 2008 TMS annual meeting, New Orleans, LA, March 9-13, 2008.  

If you are interested by the mechanics of elastomers, there is a dedicated conference for you : ECCMR 5, which will be held in Paris, France, 4-7 September 2007.

It is the fifth edition of the European Conference on Constitutive Models for Rubber Conference. The call for paper is now closed, but registration is still open.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has made a recent award to help increase graduate student participation at the Tenth Pan American Congress of Applied Mechanics (PACAM X).  These awards will be made in the form of mini-travel grants ($500 - $1,000) for exceptionally qualified students to participate in PACAM X January 7-11, 2008, in beautiful Cancun, Mexico.

ASEC 2008 is a two-day conference scheduled for midway through 2008 directed at structural engineers. This conference is a time out, providing an opportunity for like minded people to meet, share ideas and broaden their technical skills.

Following successful meetings in Lisbon and Toronto in 2004 and 2006, Elsevier will be running the 3rd International Conference on Engineering Failure Analysis (www.icefa.elsevier.com) in the beautiful town of Sitges in July 2008. Sitges is situated on the coast of Catalunya, Spain, just a short distance from Barcelona International Airport.
