Hello
I am trying to learn Abaqus but I am facing some problems. I will be very much grateful if you kindly give the solutions of the following problems.
I want to know,
1. How to assign two different areas on a two dimensional part?
2. How to tie different parts and locate coincident nodes at the boundaries of instances on the assembly?
3. How to merge coincident nodes?
I really want to learn it, please help me.
Thank you.
Dear Esteemed Researcher,

The oral presentation program for the 1st International Conference on Abrasive Processes (ICAP-1) is now available at the conference website (www.icap.elsevier.com). Evolving from earlier meetings [the International Conference on Liquid and Solid Impact (ELSI-IX) and the International Conference on Erosive and Abrasive Wear (ICEAW-II)], ICAP-1 will be held in the historic city of Cambridge, England, 21-25 September 2008. You are invited to join your peers by registering for this popular single-stream meeting.
Hi, Everyone,
I would like to seek a conference paper titled "EPC method for PDF solution of nonlinear oscillators excited by Poisson white noise" in the proceedings of the 18th ASCE Engineering Mechanics Division Conference, June, 2007, Virginia, USA. (CD-ROM). Acutally, I am the second author of the paper and haven't participated in the conference because of no USA visa. So, I have not a copy of the proceedings.
The Fourth Biot Conference on Poromechanics will be held from June 8 to 10, 2009, at Columbia University, New York City. The conference web site is located at: http://www.civil.columbia.edu/biot/
