Dear all

I'm trying to write ABAQUS subroutine for creep.

I read ABAQUS help and documents about
this subroutine but it explained briefly about editing subroutine. In addition,
it said nothing about how to link it to software.

I really appreciate it if anybody can help me by telling more about
creep subroutine
or introduce a websites which can help me by some examples.

Best regards

how to model user defined creep in ANSYS?

Submitted by almasudme on

Hi,

Is there a place I can find explained examples or tutorials on how to model user defined creep in ANSYS?

I need to follow the creep law __>      effective creep strain (e at time t) = S. T. e^(-H)

S=(a0)^t.(sigma)^(a1) ;     T = t^(a2)+(a3).t^(a4)+(a5)t^(a6)   ; H = (a7)/[(theta)+273.16]

a0 to a7 are material constants.

I have the experimental data and tried to fit the curve in Ansys to obtain the material constants.

I tried to follow the ansys help file steps. But facing erros messages.

Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Modelling Creep Damage

Submitted by acfcocks on

At Oxford University we are seeking to appoint a post doctoral Research Assistant to work on the modelling of cavity nucleation and growth in the heat affected zone of a welded component operating in the creep regime. A detailed advertisement and further particulars about the post can be found in the attached files.

Further Information can be obtained from Prof Alan Cocks - alan.cocks [at] eng.ox.ac.uk

Postdoc position available in Compuational Materials Modeling

Submitted by Zhiqiang Wang on

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of North Texas (UNT) seeks highly qualified applicants for a postdoctoral researcher position in computational materials modeling. The successful candidate will work on multiscale modeling of defects and microstructures (e.g., dislocations, grain boundaries, etc), and damage and failure of materials to design and evaluate advanced superalloys for aerospace applications, as part of the federally-funded research program in the Institute for Science and Engineering Simulation (ISES).

orthotropic nonlinear viscoelasticity/creep in Ansys

Submitted by André on

Hi,

I would like to know if there is any chance to simulate orthotropic nonlinear viscoelasticity/creep of CFRP in ANSYS (e.g. by means of user programmable features (UMAT subroutines) or using the software DIGIMAT or others)? For the nonlinear part I would like to use Schapery's method.

 Many thanks for yor help!
