Dear Colleague,
We are pleased to announce the 10th European Solid Mechanics Conference – ESMC 2018, which will be held in Bologna (Italy) during July 2-6, 2018.
The Conference is organized by the University of Trento and the University of Bologna.
There are several PhD student positions available immediately at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of the University of Central Florida (UCF). Students will work on a recent DOE funded project on Cu(Al)/CNT metallic matrix nano composites. Students with background in solid mechanics, finite element analysis, or nano material processing are particularly encouraged to apply. If you are interested, please send your resume and representative publications (if have) to Dr. Yuanli Bai (bai [at] ucf.edu) or Dr. Quanfang Chen (Quanfang.chen [at] ucf.edu). The openings are for either Spring 2017 or Fall 2017. Excellent candidates can also be nominated to apply for fellowships of university level.
Kindly view the PDF announcement for more details. The research will be conducted under the supervision of Professor Maurizio Porfiri, director of the DSL. The Dynamical Systems Laboratory (DSL) is seeking to recruit outstanding Ph.D. students in a number of funded research projects.
Two PhD positions are available immediately in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at State University of New York (SUNY) Stony Brook University, New York, US.
The research program is about mechanics and multifunctional applications of new advanced materials (such as polymer cellular solids, polymer composites, and metamaterials) focusing on mechanical performance, 3D printing, acoustic/elastic wave propagation, energy absorption, and impact resistance. The candidates with background in solid mechanics and finite element analysis are highly encouraged to apply.
Dear All,
My name is Anton and I have graduated from New Mexico State University with my Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering in August. I am currently looking for a job opportunities in both industry and academia (PhD). I am keep looking for an openings on this web-site myself, but I will be grateful for any suggestions. If someone knows any other opportunities please let me know.
Here is a brief summary of my qualifications:
•Solid Mechanics and Materials. Physics of Strength and Plasticity. Modeling of Mechanical systems
We would like to invite you to submit abstracts to Symposium D-14: Non-linear Response of Highly Deformable Structures within the “Mechanics of Solids and Structures” track at the 53rd Annual Technical Meeting of the Society of Engineering Science (SES 2016), hosted by the University of Maryland, October 2-5, 2016.
The deadline for abstract submission is June 15, 2016.
