Hello

brothers

Currently,

I‘m working on the determination of the mechanical properties of carbon nanotubes

for different loading cases using ANSYS software ( i need to use them in my

model). My Finite Element model of graphene and carbon nanotube is working fine with beam188 element, but I have

some technical problems in my simulation. These problem are summarized in

points as follow;

Output data base can't reflect input file when using abaqus UMAT

Hi~~

i tried to model simple thing with abaqus UMAT.

and i changed the input file like

Hello,

I am having questions with tensors. I know that not all matrices are tensor. Tensor is a homogeneous, linear and vector valued function. So my questions are:

  1. Are all 3*3 matrices tensors?
  2. Are all anisymmetric second order tensors orthogonal?
Thanks.

load effect in ansys

Submitted by engmohsen on

we know that axial load effect on dynamic responses of structur ( for
example comparsion axial load decreas frequencies) and Modal analysis
does not depend on load too.

i want to obtain dynamic responses for simply supported beam under axial
load. How do modal analysis in the presence of axial load in ansys (How
apply effect of axial load)???

plz help me

Hi there,

Doese any one have a working MATLAB code for paticle splitting methods? I have used Monte carlo simulations, Subset simulations etc in the past and am

wanting a more effecient code.

Thanks in advance,
