Now, I'am trying to analysis a truncated cone composite shell subjefcted to compression load in Ansys. But I don't know how to set the element coordinate system. I want to set the circumferencial direction as fiber direction, and the thickness direction and generatrix direction as transverse direction. Can any one teach me how?

            I would like to know if it is possible to use TBFT option in ANSYS to curve-fit Anand's model parameters using experimental force-displacement data.

     I am aware that the ANSYS manual  has description for hyperelastic and even chaboche model, but is there an established procedure to obtain Anand model parameters using experimental curve fitting ?

We have installed new gas compressors solar titan 130 turbines
driven. Unfortunately, we have problem of primary vent suction pressure for dry
gas seal (John Crane) Hi Hi.

Our operating parameters are:

Compressor suction pressure: 60 bar.

Compressor suction temperature: 40C.

Compressor discharge pressure: 80 bar.

Compressor discharge temperature: 60C.

Gas Cooler Set Point: 60C.

Compressor suction flow: 10.5 mmscmd.

NPT: 65%.

I'm extracting the stiffness and mass matrices of my model by editing the input file. However, the matrices are way to big, and I need to reduce them.

Just something like a modal reduction, where I'm interested only in the 10 first modes of the structure, let's say.

I thought that by limiting the eigenvalues extraction, either by maximum frequency or fixed number of modes, and requesting the extraction after the frequency step would extract the matrix related to the modes I wanted. But that does not happened. 

Can any help me know about how to optimize using ABAQUS? 

I am working on mode localization of composite plate, kindly help
