Hi all,

I'm trying to model a peel T test on a composite material composed of steel and polymer (polypropylen) on Abaqus 6.7. Between these parts, there are cohesive elements COH3D8.

I have a problem with my model and I don't understand it. You can visualize my results in attachs files.

For understand this draw, a few precisions:

The elements in white has just here to guide the materials.

In B (cf attachs files), the nodes are embedded.

In A I applied a velocity.

HI,

i´m trying to create the model of an hyperelastic material to simulate the test of a uniaxial tensile stress in order to compare the results obtained with those form the experiments.

how can i say to the program that i want a constant rate displacement of 50mm/s??

Hi Friends

I would like to have any suggestions from friends here on implementing boundary conditions for a plate with one of two opposite edges simply supported and the other pair being free. I have the analytical solution for the same problem (from Leissa and other references) but while implementing numerical solution, I wanted to know how one treats the corners of the plate. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I need to do the modelling in a command file instead of through the ANSYS graphinc interface as I need to try out different configurations and automatically run it in ANSYS. My question is:

Say I create a rectangular geometry using the BLC4 command:

BLC4,-5,-15,80,100

I need to load the structure using the DL command? How do I know which side of the rectangel is assigned which line number? Can I control this? Is it consistent?

Woven Fabric - How to model in ABAQUS?

Hello ppl,

I'm having a doubt about how to model a composite woven fabric. Is it using laminar in the material properties? Due to the fact the fabric is made by fiber running in 0 and 90 degrees direction, in the Composite Layup do I have still to add the the direction of the fibers?
