Hi,

If I perform an axisymmetric cylinder compression by compressing the cylinder with specified displacement (it's a contact analysis, a top rigid edge is being pressed against the cylinder to compress it). The result is the stress in the cylinder and the nodal reaction/contact forces.

I am setting up a simulation in ANSYS Workbench 

I have input the geometry from ProE. There are two peices. One is aluminium (rolled and polished), the other is titanium.

I know and understand how to change material properties.

However, both of the peices have been set as aluminium; I didnt set this, it must have been a default setting.

How do I change the titanium peice from aluminium to titanium? What option do I select? In what stage? Geometry, mesh, pre?

I am trying to calculate C* for 3D CT specimen with side groove (have geometry) by ABAQUS.  The C(t) curve begins with negative value then it turn to positive values.  It confuse me, and I am thinking about that is that because the local coordinate generated when i introduce side groove make ABAQUS confused?

Give me some help,  please?
