As is well known, the formulation of the equations describing a deformable solid is best done in the Lagrangian setting. I'm programming by myself to do the simulation of forming process. I met the problem below. [img_assist|nid=8910|title=probelm|desc=penetration in adaptive remeshing|link=none|align=left|width=60|height=100]
I used second order triangular elements and h-refinement method in the simulation. When the workpiece(bottom) is remeshed, the new node is inside of the tool(upper). How can i solve the problem?

Hello,I am a new user to Abaqus. I created an FE mesh of the human neck using a different software, and successfully imported the .inp file into Abaqus. I need to create either spring or truss elements to the mesh, and I am not sure how to do this, any thoughts? Every time I try to add components, I get an error saying that you can’t change geometry to an orphan mesh. Thanks

I am modeling a vertebral joint that consists of two vertebrae stacked on top of one another and connected through an intervertebral disc. The simulation I am trying to perform has three phases:
1.) Rotate the top vertebra to a specified angle with an angular velocity while holding the bottom vertebra in place.
2.) From the rotated position, apply a downward force to the top of the top vertebra while holding the bottom vertebra in place.
Plexiglass sheet are buried inside the concrete when pouring 100days ago. Now we want to get Ansys model for these, I care about only the modal analysis at this time, tried several ways, e.g. using coupling/decoupling, but all these methods don't work well. Any suggestions?
