You will be responsible for using numerical methods and computer software to design, develop and validate novel window system. You will also be involved in theoretic analysis and characterisation of conventional noise control design such as microperforated panel (MPPs) and advanced active approaches such as active structural acoustics control. You will also evaluate prototypes and optimising the design until it works by using modelling and simulation as the main tool.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Engineering / Physics or equivalent
  • Strong background in acoustics, vibro-acoustics, noise control.
  • Experience in numerical simulation software such as ANSYS / ABAQUS, Virtual Lab / Acoustics, Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA), SOLIDWORKS
