We did it some 16 months ago - the 1st volume of this new online workshop was run without any budget and without any costs. Simply, a meeting place for researchers focused on a similar topic, and willing to share their experience with a broad auditorium. The Melosh Symposium took place last week on the campus of Duke University. The names of the four successful applicants that made it to the final stage and their current institutions are:

The finalists gave oral presentations before our distinguished judges, José Andrade from Caltech and Sanjay Govindjee from UC Berkeley. Tianyi Hu from Purdue won the competition!
