This position is at the level of Assistant Professor. The department seeks to build upon its core strength in mechanical engineering as well as its collaborative research areas in mechanics of biological materials and soft materials.
The Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics (ESM) at Virginia Tech seeks applicants for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position in the general area of dynamical systems with applications to mechanics. Appointment will be at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor. Exceptionally qualified candidates may also be eligible for a named professor appointment.
