Open Ph.D. positions at UT-Arlington

There are three Ph.D. positions opening in our group: one in Cell/Tissue Mechanics, one in Mechanics of Energy Storage Materials, and the last in Metamaterials. We would like to fill these positions as soon as in the Spring, 2012. Qualified candidates with a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline are welcome to apply. XFEM into Diffpack for fracture mechanics

A 6 month post is available, either as recruited staff or consultant for 3D fracture mechanics applications within Diffpack (inuTech) http://www.inutech.de/

at Cardiff University.

Mandatory criteria

-strong C++coding experience

-knowledge of numerical methods

Desirable criteria

-Diffpack experience

-XFEM experience

 Depending on performance, the post can be extended through other contracts (see posts below).
