master position on modeling of laser texturing

Submitted by msolli on

Dear all,

A master position is open at University of Technology of Belfort-MontBéliard in France. The master projet is essentially focused on the modeling of the interaction between the laser and metals in order to predict surface morphology.

The modeling has to account for the different physical phenomenon involved during the interaction. Therefore, comparison between experimental database and numerical results is expected.

Postdoc/PhD positions on submarine landslides modeling at Tsinghua University, Shenzhen, China

Submitted by lujing on

Multiple postdoc and one PhD positions are open at Tsinghua University to develop a high-performance numerical tool for simulation of submarine landslides and subsequent geophysical flows, such as submarine debris flows and density currents. The research will take place at Tsinghua University’s Shenzhen International Graduate School (SIGS), located in Shenzhen, China, and is partly sponsored by NSFC and Tsinghua SIGS’s scientific research startup funds.

There is an opening for a funded PhD in mechanical engineering at the
Université-Est Créteil Val de Marne (UPEC) starting September 2023, under the
supervision of Pr. Salah Naili. This will involve to develop and validate a
mechanical model and numerical methods allowing to describe the interaction
between the ultrasonic wave field and a rough surface of an implant.

See below for a more detailed description of the project.
