You will use up-to-date computational industrial tools and get the knowledge on both computational methods and material physics and mechanics. You will understand the material behaviour from micro to macro scale. You will learn to model innovative processes.

The 34th Annual Robert J. Melosh Competition for the Best Student Paper in Computational Mechanics will be held at Duke University on October 16, 2023.

We encourage you to contribute an abstract to the minisymposium "Mechanics of Granular Media: Experiments, Theory, and Modeling" (Minisymposium 2-1) at the 2023 SES Annual Technical Meeting to be held in Minneapolis, MN, October 8-11, 2023. 1. Introduction

Because of its overwhelming pervasiveness and high-stakes impact on the mechanical performance of structures made of inorganic and live matter alike (bridges, airplanes, bones, ligaments,...), fracture has attracted the attention of humans, researchers and laymen the same, for centuries.

The Mechanics of Infrastructure Materials research group is looking to hire two postdoctoral researchers to conduct research in the area of hydrogen embrittlement. One position is for a modeller and the other one is for an experimentalist.

Materials design has endless applications in countless industries, and its impact is growing especially at the nexus of creating more sustainable, functional and efficient materials platforms. MIT Predictive Multiscale Materials Design short course will be held during the week of June 12-16, 2023, at MIT. Participants will earn an official MIT certificate.
