I am trying to use the user-defined subroutine functionality in ABAQUS 6.11. I have set up a simple test case of an object (cube) being displaced harmonically in time (DISP.FOR, Standard Implicit). The subroutine DISP.FOR is shown at the end of the post.

i 've modeled a submerged cylinder subjected to underwater explosion.
there is an example of this problem in Abaqus Example Documentation.

i have modeled the problem and analysed but the U1 Translation Graph for Endcaps is different to original example graph.
the velocity of endcaps during explosion is negative , but for my analys its positive !
I have a question about the EQUATION constraint to apply periodical boundary conditions via Script in Abaqus. The detailes is as follows
(1) Create the node sets firstly in the PART Module;
(2) Using script to create node sets containing only one node;
(3) Using the following script to establish the EQUATION constraint
mdb.models['Job-1'].Equation(name=’Constraint-1′, terms=((1.0,
‘PART-1-1.Node-1′, 1), (1.0, ‘PART-1-1.Node-2′, 1), (-1.0, ‘RP1′, 1)))
Violating the law of energy conservation, Zanaboni Theorem is invalid
and Zanaboni's proof is wrong. Zanaboni's mistake of " proof " is analyzed.
Energy Theorem for Zanaboni Problem is suggested and proved.
Equations and conditions are established in this paper for Zanaboni Problem,
which are consistent with , equivalent or identical to each other. Zanaboni
Theorem is, for its invalidity , not a mathematical formulation or
proof of Saint-Venant's Principle.
This paper is accepted at Structural Engineering and Mechanics; An international journal.

soil abaqus modeling I want know that when I assign a plastic properties(mechanical
plasticity) such as mohr moulomb,in
cohesion tab we see two data that I don’t know what data I can insert there.two parameters are :
cohesion yield stress and abs plastic strain.
Plz
give me a true data parameters.and friction angle and dilation angle about one

Hello friends,
Greetings! I used Msc Patran to create a 2D mesh. Using mesh properties I solved a time-dependent partial differential equation using finite element in that domain through c code. Now,I have nodal values at different time. I would like to plot contours using those nodal values. I came to know Patran can do this. If so , can someone give some tips or guide me to an example.
