The Department of Materials Science and Applied Mathematics is recruiting a highly motivated Associate Senior Lecturer in Applied Physics with a focus on Machine Learning.
Partially funded by the Swedish Knowledge Foundation, this position aims to strengthen and expand our machine learning research activities connected to materials science, with an emphasis on structural materials and engineering applications.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish and lead their own research group, apply for and secure external research funding, initiate new research projects, and contribute to ongoing collaborations within the department. The role also includes serving as a resource for machine learning activities across the department, teaching machine learning courses within our educational programmes, and supervising master's students and PhD candidates.
The position offers excellent opportunities to build an independent research profile and includes the support of a fully funded PhD student associated with the position.
