Dr Yunlan Zhang has two funded PhD positions in structural engineering at the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering, focusing on mechanical metamaterials and advanced structures: computational modelling, additive manufacturing, and experimental testing. Students who are interested in developing innovative materials and structures are invited to apply to join my Lab.

We have several openings for a PhD positions. The successful candidate will conduct original research in the general area of biomechanics and fluid dynamics. They develop numerical methods to model coupled processes on high-performance computing platforms. This position is in the Gomez Research Group (https://engineering.purdue.edu/gomez/) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue.

Dr. Wentao Yan's group at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS), focuses on metal additive manufacturing: computational modeling, experimental investigation and data analytics. We are looking for an enthusiastic student who is interested in working in the field of smart and functional materials, in the department of mechanical engineering at Mahindra University in Hyderabad, India. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to conduct a bottom-up research towards developing a novel “active” composite. The research lifecycle encompasses modelling & simulation, design optimization, experimentation & validation of the composite.

The Engineering/Science Analyst will provide analytic support for activities and programs within the CMMI Division and will be part of the CMMI Analysts Team. The position will encompass a wide spectrum of duties in support of the Division's mission, including the analysis of scientific and technical issues to provide recommendations influencing policy and process administration.
