We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher to fill a Postdoctoral Researcher position in Computational Solid Mechanics at the Florida A&M University-Florida State University College of Engineering (FAMU-FSU COE) in Tallahassee, Florida. The researcher will work on projects funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) aimed at developing novel computational techniques that leverage deep learning methods for solving problems in computational solid mechanics.

Daedalus, our new research group at Georgia Institute of Technology, has an opening for two PhD students with background in solid/experimental mechanics to work towards developing high throughput fracture testing methods as well as mechanics of green structures. Starting date: Spring 2024. Applications of both experimental and computational backgrounds will be evaluated.

We are looking for a PhD student for a research project on microscale mechanical characterization of fiber reinforced polymer composites using in-situ microscopic techniques. Much more fundamental insights and measurements at the micro-scale are necessary to enable fully predictive multi-scale modelling and faster adaptation of composites. Therefore, we have developed advanced micromechanical test methods for fibre reinforced polymer composites based on in-situ optical and electron microscopy during loading.
