Abaqus CFD

Hello,

I have a 6mm straight tube which is pressureized to 8bar dry air, then the pressure is

released to 2 bar and the time is measured. (pressure drop duration)

I wonder if this problem is possible to analyize in Abaqus CFD?

In abaqus CFD i can assign 8 bar pressure at one end of the tube and 2 bar at

the other end but then i wonder if Abaqus will adjust the velocity to achieve this

solution during the specified step time, if this is the case then i will not

be able to get the correct time?

Recently I submitted an article in an ASME journal and the associate editor accepted. But, the Editor-in-Chief rejected it.

Do anyone of you has any such experience?

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone been able to successfully code a UEL for modelling multiphase flow in rocks in abaqus, I have seen some work by Björn Schümann and checked out some of his references (Holler, 2006) but i have been unable to get this to work. Any ideas or can anyone point me in the right direction ?

Thanks

Abaqus/standard: The fluid cavity surface is not completely enclosed.

Submitted by Alfred_W on

I use the 2D axisymmetric model to build a surface-based fluid cavity in Abaqus/standard. The model is showed in the attached picture. The fluid cavity surface is the arc and the refenrence point is the center of the arc.

When I complete the calculation case, it came the following warning messege:

WARNING: "The surface assembly_al-1_surf-pore is not completely enclosed. A list of element with free edges on this surface is given as follows:"

but the history output value CVOL (hydrostatic fluid cavity volume) is right, which is equel to the whole sphere.

What about an open source project on fluid network analysis?

Hey, everyone.

Is there anyone familiar with the Generalized Fluid System Simulation Program (GFSSP)? It is a powerful tool developed by NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. I am an engineer on gas turbine. I developed a similar but more simplified, and light-weighted tool, by C programming language.
