vibrational modes of piezoceramic plate

Submitted by Timo Scholehwar on

i'm looking for a free fea program that can is capable of simulating the vibrational modes of a simple piezoceramic plate.

i'm looking into calculix and elmer, but there seems to be very little information about this.

and yes, i do have the complete peizoelectric tensor of the material.

the ultimate aim is to simulate the electrical (current) and mechanical (strain) response to an electrical filed x at frequency y...

I want to study dynamic response of plates using element free galerkin method. But i have difficulty imposing essential boundary conditions. I have tried Chen's full transformation method. Can someone tell me how to impose essential boundary condition to solve eigen value problems?

Hi everyone,

I need to perform a thermal analysis. A slab of solid material subjected to one side heat flux. My energy balance equation takes in account conduction and heat generation.

The conductio term is the usual term.

The heat generation term is function of the density, but the density is a function of temperature.

I think I should perform a transient analysis and manage to change the value of the density during the anlysis after each substep, at least.
Does someone know how to do it with ANSYS? It is the software that I'm trying to use.

I am a newer to nanotechnology, and i have great interest in computation on nanotube with continuum model, but after read some papers ,lost my mind ,i want to know what field have great future,Tsu-wei Chou have done a lot of work in nanotube with continuum mode in the field of frequency, elastic modulous, buckling,i don't know what can i do now ,long for your advice for me ,a green hand

sorry for my poor english

Nonlinear finite elements

How to use the hybrid/mixed method to solve geometrical nonlinear problems?

It seems the the difficulties are how to choos strss(Cauchy, Lagrange or Kirchhoff ) and the corresponding expression of energy functional. When the large deformation is considered, the equilibrium equation is coupled with the displacements and the complementary energy is different with linear problems.
