A postdoctoral associate position is available at the Computational Nanodynamics Group at Northwestern University. This research project focuses broadly on atomistic and multi-scale modeling and simulation of the mechanics and dynamics of organic, biological and bioinspired nanomaterials. The post-doctoral researcher will have the opportunity to investigate diverse issues related to mechanics and transport phenomena in emerging nanostructured materials.

Ph.D. Positions in Computational Solid Mechanics

Fully funded Ph.D. positions are available in the Department
of Mechanical Engineering & Engineering Science at the University of North
Carolina at Charlotte. The research focus will be on developing and using multiscale methods for modeling nanocomposites and nanomaterials. Candidates should have a BS or MS degree in
mechanical engineering, material science, civil engineering or other related
areas. Computational experience at the continuum or molecular level is
preferred but is not necessary.  Interested
