Hi,

   In my fssw modeling, I'm using Johnson cook material model and C3D8RT element. I checked the consistancy of units also.

 

   My job is running upto 7frames out of 20frames and suddely aborting saying "the defomation speed exceeded the wave speed due to the excessing temperature and badly distorted elements" 

   Some times it also terminating saying "excess temperature occurs in solving the heat transfer equations"

 

can any body help me to complete my job please.

How can I apply concentrated load on internal nodes?

Hello All

I have a problem in which I have to apply concentrated load on the internal nodes in specific directions.

Is it possible to apply concentrated load on internal nodes (nodes which are not on the boundary) in Abaqus, or any other FEM software?

 

Is it possible to for exampleuse static condensation method and define subdomains in the body and apply concentrated loads on theoundaries of an arbitrary domain? 

 

I would be thankful if you could help me.

Abaqus Low cycle fatigue - Hysteresis Energy Criteria

Hi,

I am trying to do Low cycle fatigue analysis in abaqus, and

according to the Documentation, for bulk material damage initiation and damage

evolution definition, I can use the criteria (and type for Damage evolution) as

"Hysteresis Energy". And have to define 4 material variables C1 to

C4.

Cutting out sections?

Hello everyone,

 I am learning to use Abaqus as part of a research project. In Abaqus Viewer, I have .odb files from a previous research project to work with. I was wondering if anyone knows how I could go about cutting a section of the model. In this case, I have a model of a bone. I would like to make two cuts so only a middle cross section of the bone is displayed.

How to get data in an rigid surface in Abaqus

Recently,I made a model of two parts

1. a circle pad (deformed)

2.a discrete rigid line (move upwords)

the problem is I want to get the reaction force in the rigid surface,but I can not.

I must get it from the pad because I must make the rigid part more well meshed,I want to get better data.

Could you tell me how to get data in rigid part when contact occur?

I'm last year PhD student. I would appreciate if someone could advice me about active research groups in Computational Plasticity (material models, hardening models, yield criteria, UMAT) in California or Australia.

 

I'm looking for an interesting research group to find a post-doc but I don't know from where start.
