i need your help in working on modeling of my project in Abaqus.

im working on model of an Article.

the field of project is about underwater explosion.

This is the original article:

http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0167844209000731

first i have to design the model of the article in abaqus.

as you see in article the model is a submarine hull.

Hello everyone,

I m doing M. Tech in Machine Design

I have to take dissertation topic where i can research.

My area of interests are    Design,Stress analysis,ANSYS,Creo.

But i don' want to go for thermal and fluid side.

so plz suggest me some good topics where i can research.

Dear all,

I want to construct a constitutive relation to model the elastoplastic damage behavior of rock salt which is considered as an excellent host medium for gas storage facilities. Because rock salt is a kind of typical geomaterials, confinement sensitive and inclusion effect should be considered in the constitutive model. However, I have encountered many difficulties in the course of the study. There are some issues I am a little confused.

ABAQUS - Does Newton's method affect the convergence rate of higher order incremental scheme such as RK4 implemented via UMAT?

Submitted by jack_luk on

Hello everyone,

I'm currently doing an analysis on the convergence rate of an incremental model that I have implemented in ABAQUS using a UMAT. Here's the BIG lines of the problem:

1) In UMAT : Solution of a differential equation using explicit Runge-Kutta 4 (RK4), which has a 4th order convergence rate, yields the stress state "S". (In my problem, stresses are applied)

Implementation of Jaumann stress rate into FEM program

Hi,

Im building hypoplastic constitutive model into FLAC3D.

My formulation is by the Jaumann stress rate.

In order to implement the model into the FEM does I need to change the increment stress as followed by the Jaumann stress rate definition as

dsigma=jaumann+W*sigma-sigma*W

where W is the skrew-symmetric part of the velocity gradient.

Or should I use the Jaumann stress rate as the incremental stress.

Thanks,

DoKo.

Bolt Result

Submitted by vithun on

Hello Everyone,

I have modeled two plate with a hole clamped using a bolt (modeled as three dimensional solid) which is subjected to a axial load,I am using AbaqusV 6.10, now i need to check what amount of load is taken by bolt, Which result should i check or what should i look for in visualization mode?

Hi,

i need some help in writing the surface mesh in abaqus. i have a wing model, meshed using hexahedral mesh. now what i want is to write the surface element detail on a file, containing the element number and its neighbouring four nodes. for example

12, 2 3 5 6

here 12 is the element number and 2,3,5 & 6 are the corresponding nodes.

Hellow Mechanics

I wender about the limitation of the Navier methode for the solution of the probleme of plate " Why is vailable only for simply supported plates " for wiche raison " mathimathicaly or another thing.........?
