maybe i need to calculate the negative pressure regions. but how?!
how can i define the condition and compute that cavitation effects by ABAQUS?

In a cantilever beam I'm using explicit C3D8R elements by a dyamic pulse load. But I got this error:
DEGREE OF FREEDOM 11 AND AT LEAST ONE OF DEGREES OF FREEDOM 1 THRU 6 MUST BE ACTIVE IN THE MODEL FOR *DYNAMIC TEMP-DISP. CHECK THE PROCEDURE AND ELEMENT TYPES USED IN THIS MODEL.
The only output which I specified for it, is displacement and velocity in the tip of the beam as a history output request.
Hi all,
I am using Abaqus to simulate the behavior of a steel connection using a Static,General analysis. For bolts, the last values for yield stress and plastic strain are 1 and 0.05, respectively.After running the model, I get values of equivalent plastic strain in the bolts of 0.15.
Why do I get values that are higher than the ones I define? Shouldn't I get a maximum of 0.05? What can I be doing wrong?

im doing a research about crack propagation in a material under cyclic loading but when i run my model,crack doesent prapagates.i was wondering if xfem has the ability of propagating the crack under cyclic loading or not!?How can i solve my problem?

I tried plotting equivalent plastic strain contours against distance from the crack tip for a problem involving mixed-mode loading of aluminium.But,unfortunately,when i saw the plot,it had for the same value 0.0,i mean exactly at the tip,it is showing a number of plastic strain values???Could someone help me in this issue???
