I am trying to create a cyclic loading using direct cyclic step with low-cycle fatigue analysis for XFEM crack growth in Abaqus.

 can we say that initial tangent modulus and secant modulus can be considered as upper bound and lower bound limits for uniaxial compressive stress strain curve of concrete?

If so can u show me the literature proof for that?

Does anybody know how to get the displacement values at points along the upper and lower surface of an edge crack and the distance, r. There are no nodes on the cracked surfaces as the crack cuts through the middle of the element.

I wish to plot diplacement as a function of r.
