We have been trying to find research material about the behavior and consequences of a bullet going through a human cranium. This is the only material which I have found so far:

finding excel utilities

Submitted by azad arjang on

I used excel utilities plug-in to exchange x-y data between abagus and excel. but now the excel utilities is not listed in Plug-ins--> tools, all of the other tools existed except the excel utilities. I dont know what happened to this! why is it removed?! I can find it in SIMULIA, abaqus_plugins. would you please help me? how can I add it again to the plug-ins list?

Implementation of JH-2(Johnson holmquist) constitutive equation in explicit FEM

Submitted by Daisuke FUKUDA on

Dear professionals,

I'm self-developing explicit 3-D hybrid FEM/DEM code using GPGPU for my research regarding Penetration of projectile into rock.

In the code, I'm incorporating JH-2(Johnson holmquist) constitutive model.

Although this constitutive mode has been implemented in LS-DYNA and Abacus Explicit, some implementation detail has not been geven in exsisting literature. I mean, I reviewed several literature but I only found a flowchart of implementation of JH2 from Table 1 in

Abaqus: stopping an analysis (with a Riks step) at the maximum LPF

Submitted by Tudor-Cristian Stan on

Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way to terminate a job in Abaqus once the LPF obtained from a Riks step has reached a maximum. I know that a maximum LPF or displacement at a node can be specified, but this is not what I am looking for. Of course, one can get all LPF values and obtain the maximum value (corresponding to a limit load), but that can be quite time consuming, since the analysis can take a lot of time after the maximum LPF has been reached.
