controling job submition with python in abaqus

Submitted by ali396771 on

hi

i have a problem with controling my job with python in abaqus. im trying to do this proces with python in abaqus

1-when job submited incriment by incriment result (for exaple  stress of every element ) called from odb file.

2- if every of them reached to critical stress value , then job be killed . and that elements stress value be printed.

3- els next incriment of job be solved and this proces be countinued until  job be killed or completed.

Is it possible to import a FE Assembly to SIMPACK?

Submitted by renganathan sekar on

In ABAQUS, I have modelled a assembly containing two parts with lot of constraints and other engineering features which are very crucial to my FE analysis. The job ran successfully and I have got satisfactory results. As a next step, I would like to import this model into the Multi Body Software SIMPACK as a flexible body. This would require the introduction of substructuring concepts and I referred to SIMPACK tutorials for exact way of doing it. My question is, can we import an assembly into SIMPACK. Because the tutorials explain only a part being impoted into SIMPACK.

Write out local material orientation

Submitted by reneem5898 on

I have a vibration problem where I have assigned the local material orientation by assigning points a and b. By assigning points a and b, I define one material direction in my local coordinate system - direction 3. From Abaqus documentation, I understand that the other two directions are assigned to be orthogonal to the 3rd direction but are set somewhat arbitrarily. I want to write out the directions so that I know the three vectors defining all three directions of the local material orientation.

I have set up a vibration problem. I assign a local material orientation by assigning coordinates a and b to define the 3rd material direction. From documentation, I understand that the other two directions are assigned to be orthotropic to the 3rd direction. Beyond that, I think that they are set somewhat arbitrarily. I want to output each component of the local material orientation.

Dear Abaqus Experts:

I am new Subroutine user and I want to analyze plastic deformation behavior of micro component.

So, I have to link Abaqus, gfortran, and Microsoft Visual Studio.

I tried several methods by reference to the following link, but I have not yet been successful in them.

So, I'm a very necessary help of Abaqus experts.

Detail

1) I added the command "mingwvars.bat" to Abaqus Command > right click > properties > target

Re-analysing deformed shell structure with abaqus

Submitted by Fracturethesystem on

Hey everyone I am simulating a forming analysis via Abaqus and the real process consists of 9 forming steps. For this reason, I need to re-analyse the deformed part again and again. I can import a deformed mesh from .odb file to a new model but I want to import the section properties with thinning and hardening of the deformed structure. If you know and share any method to overcome this problem I'll appreciate it :)

Deformation gradient tensor and the engineering strain tensor

Submitted by kajalschopra on

Hi,

I'm not able to exactly understand the difference between the deformation gradient tensor and the engineering strain tensor.

I understand that the deformation gradient tensor captures the straining and the rigid body motion of the material fibers. But am not physically make out the difference between engineering strain tensor and the deformation gradient tensor.

I shalll be grateful if someone can help

With regards

Kajal

I want to simulate a problem in which a ball placed over a spring plate or elastic plate is fired at an angle to travel maximum distance. Can anybody help me how to simulate this.I have the plates's height of 180mm and I need to find the angle and maximum distance of travel.
Suppose I have vertical Cantilever Plate(say 100mm height) with a ball in contact on the top and I apply a load of 100N to bend the two and release it from that bent position or angular position. I need to calculate the best angle of projection and maximum distance travelled. Can anybody help me now

Polyrethane

Hello

well i am new in modeling polymer in abaqus. Iwould like to model an uniaxial test tension test. I REALIZED THE EXPERIMENTAL TEST AND TAKE THE STress-strain data into abaqus. Ichoosed for this an hyperelasstic behavior. Is my choice good.?

Also another thing when i run the job i have no permanent deformation but the speciment return to its initial position after unloading

any suggestion or help please
