i am sunil kumar , this is my very first letter to this forum .

i am working on ansys-lsdyna drop test module , please if any one working on that module respond to me . i am dropping a aluminium block on to a rigid surface from 1.5m height , i need to get out put acceleration around (37000 m/s2) but i am getting too high as (250000 m/s2) in vertical direction at the time of impact .

Impact and explosion mechanics is a muti-discipline subject , which concern mechanics, physics, and chemistry. As you know, explosive wave propagation and penetration problems are researched in impact and explosion mechanics.

currently i'm having project regarding fabricating NiTi thin film and I need help with some of the question stated below.

the process to fabricate is using sputtering process. 

I wish to know, beside Silcon substrate, is there any other substrate which i can use? and why majority use silcon instead of other substrate?

Is there any group using Density Functional Theory or Amsterdam Density Functional (ADF) in Continuum Mechanics or Fracture Mechanics? I want to get some overview about them.
