First of all, I would like to thank you for this useful forum/site.
I want to introduce myself, as I am new user of this forum/site. My name is Ahmet B. Turkoglu, from Istanbul/Turkey. I am a master student in Mech. Eng. Faculty.
Since, my subject of thesis requires both static and dynamic analysis, I have started to learn Abaqus/Cae. In these days, I need to get some examples/solved problems of dynamic analysis, which are related to contacts, moving parts, surface frictions etc. that prepared in Abaqus.
My project is about, to design new generation brake system for lifts (also known as safety gears), that will hold guide rails and by the help of friction it will stop lift safely.
Objective in FEM,
- Observing surface stress/strain/deformation caused by surface friction.
- Observing temperature distribution on parts.
If you have some examples about subject "analysis of moving parts/surfaces/contacts/friction etc.", could you please share with me?
