ANSYS/ABAQUS.Its to validate the results i got from my MATLAB
simulation. I'm a new user of ANSYS and ABAQUS.So some body please help

Moving Mesh refinment in ABAQUS

Submitted by kidus on

Hi,

I am new to the forum. I do hope I will get help.

I am uisng ABAQUS 6.7/Standard to simulate gear pairs (only static). At
a moment I am only taking 2D, so I am using plane strain with quad
elements. My problem is how to chnage the mesh refinment with respect
to the gears postion, specially on the contact area?

Thank you in advance for any help

Hello,

I have been reading up a lot on "Configurational Mechanics" and frankly i came up with a lot of questions. I am not skeptical at all about it, it just that many things are not clear to me.

Comsol Analysis Help

Submitted by Peaceman185 on

Hi everyone, I'm doing an analysis with Comsol on an Impeller. Shortly, it is a roller (cylinder) that applied a pressure on a blade (shape of an helix with variable pitch; I have the equation of the bade) at a specific radius to deform it. I've done my assembly in Catia (impeller and roller) and imported it to Comsol. I think all my equations are OK but I can't get any "answer" from Comsol. Here are my questions : Is it possible to simultae the movement (helix shape) of the roller on the blade.

Impact in Composites

Submitted by pirexengaer on

Hello,

I'm doing some research in aircraft protection against impact, mainly refering to UAV's protection of the payload (avionics,etc..) during crash.

Does anyone knows where I can get some info about related topics (impact in composites, collision protection, reinforcement of structures, etc..)?

Thanks, Ivo Pires
