Hello, all

I am trying to model a corroded beam under loading considering bond-slip effects. Following is the methods i used,

  • FRACTION

           I define the interface between the reinforcement and the concrete, then i added fraction and give the fraction coefficient. However without vetical force, the fraction coefficient is useless. I also define the shear limit which brings no improvement too. So i give up this solution.

Hi,

I am new to ABAQUS and have met a problem in input file. If I set the element type to be CPE4R, the input file works perfectly. However, CPE4R has only one integration point, which is not enough for my problem. When I define the elment to be CPE4 in the input file and set section control to be hourglass, the computation is terminated with error in input file. I don't konw what's the problem here. Could anyone help me with the problem?

In the figure I showed a mechanism, I want to make an analysis for that. consider the circles in the figure as cylenders which can be seen in the top view. these circles are regular cylenderical parts. I made the fig in paint thats why circle don't seem to be regular. I want to analyze the angle that at given angle, whether the rolling flow of these cylenders will be blocked or not. Please tell me some software to analyze in 2d Prefferably or 3d. Please help me. I'm in intense need.

crack initiation simulation with FEM

hello.all.

i want to simulate the the crack initiation, but i don't know

(1)what criterion should i use for crack initiation.

(2)how to deal with the mesh(unlike other fracture model, there is no crack defined in advance in the mesh).

the material i use is structual steels.

 

 could anyone give me some advice?

i am a PG student .i have to model a concrete beam in ansys and run nonlinear analysis . which model is better smeared or discrete model.

i am using solid 65 for concrete and link 8 for steel my project mainly concerns on shear behaviour. i am not getting any crack pettern or my problem is not converging please help me ou. please send me if anybody have literatures related to that

How to use the arc length method in Feap

If you know how to use the arc length method in Feap, please give me a template. I am using Feap 7.5. I need to use the arc length method to simulate a structure after a critical point. For that problem, I think that it is necessary to combine the Newton-Raphson method with the arc length method (displacement control). If you are friendly with Feap, could you give me some tips?

run fortran file

Hi

I want to run fortran file which are in the examples of ABAQUS documentation. I can add it in the subroutine of the job manager. first I had the error ifort.exe not found in the PATH but I solved it by adding the address in the address enviroment. Now there is not the problem and the file is submitted and after that it doesn't do anything.

What should I do?
